UNTIL SUNDAY 6/9
F. BANCAJA. Pl. Tetouan, 23
The Galician bank ABANCA and the Bancaja Foundation have merged their art collections to create an exhibition that is like the hypotenuse: the result of adding the squares of the legs. The appropriate works have not been sought to support a discourse; a speech has been created from the available works, which are many and are signed by big names of the avant-garde such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Vasily Kandinski, George Braque, Juan Gris, Paul Klee, Marc Chagall o Giorgio De Chirico. These are from the beginning of the 20th century and with them begins Commitment to art, that covers a hundred years of artistic production to arrive at contemporary creations that no longer write manifestos or embrace any “ism”. Those of our most international living artist, For example: Manolo Valdes, for which the Valencia City Council plans a museum on the dock 3 from the Central Park to 2027. There is more: the informalism of Antonio Saura, Manolo Millares o Antoni Tàpies (with one-person exhibition in another Bancaja room); the geometric rigor of Eusebio Sempere y José María Yturralde; the abstraction of Soledad Seville y Sean Scully; the pop and figurative approaches of Chronicle Team —always present in these struggles—, Luis Gordillo, It's here, Dario Villalba o Miquel Barceló; and pieces linked to the evocation of nature and the urban context of Miquel Navarro, Cristina Iglesias o Julian Opie. Super artists of the last century, together and somewhat mixed. AU
