UNTIL SUNDAY 30/11
THE SHIP. University, 2
Carmen Grau's exhibition at La Nau was planned until September, but it has been extended, so let's take the opportunity to talk about it. Grau uses wood as a support and incorporates materials and recycled objects in pieces that usually include social criticism and feminism. The social slope attracted the interest of Jesus Martinez Guerricabeitia, who acquired a piece for the collection now held by the University of Valencia and is the seed of this exhibition. Feminism pervades the two most interesting works in the exhibition: washboards, about the domestic work traditionally assigned to women, i Women's polyptych, where he pays tribute to 169 women (22×22) among which we find the 13 Roses o Sylvia Plath.
