HUNTERS

Pepita Lumier. Stew, 7

The second sample of David de las Heras in Pepita Lumier, Hunters, is one of the projects that the gallery presented in the last edition of the Drawing Room in Madrid, a parallel fair to Arco specializing in contemporary drawing. The Basque artist, a consummate portraitist, he has made art of the faces of Mario Vargas Llosa for the French magazine L’Obs, businessman Bob Campbell to Footwear News the New York, the actor Idris Elba for the English magazine Soho House Magazine James Rhodes for the book cover Instrumental published by Blackie Books in Spain, where he masterfully captures the musician's slightly disturbed gaze. A few months before the sales explosion of this wonderful autobiography, he had won the Junceda Award for the best cover for Kaliman in Jericho (Bamboo Editorial). Very interesting artist. S.M.
