Mass Ornament. Natalie Bookchin. USA. 2009. Sense dialogues. Color. 7′. DCP.
Space Down. Dominic Gagnon. canada. 2024. VOS SPANISH. Color. 78′. DCP.

Natalie Bookchin, artist and theorist specialized in digital media, combines the fragmented audiovisual archive on the internet based on a critical analysis of society. Through a massive remounting, Mass Ornament coordinates solitary dances in the room and mass mimetic choreographies exposing the contradictions between individual freedom and social control.
Quebec artist and filmmaker Dominic Gagnon has delved deeply into Internet portraits, making up to seven feature films. From what he calls "direct cinema at a distance" Western society has observed -RIP in pieces, America, 2009—, has moved to the Arctic —Of the North, 2015—, the southGoing South, 2018— i orient —Big in China, 2020—. The four cardinal points have been navigated, it needed to go deep into the Earth and be projected into space. Space Down is a montage of expressions of human beings in states of isolation and anxiety while other contemporaries gravitate through the sky, improbable perspectives that question what is the place of the human being in the universe. (Miquel Martí Freixas).
