DESCRIPTION:The Filmoteca presents the traveling cycle “Permanence of the ephemeral” programmed by Punto de Vista – Navarra Documentary Film Festival. DCP. \nNatalie Bookchin\, artista i teòrica especialitzada en mitjans digitals\, combines the fragmented audiovisual archive on the internet based on a critical analysis of society. A través d’un massiu remuntatge\, Mass Ornament coordina balls solitaris a l’habitació i coreografies mimètiques de masses exposant les contradiccions entre la llibertat individual i el control social.\nL’artista i realitzador quebequés Dominic Gagnon ha indagat profundament en retrats internautes\, making up to seven feature films. A partir del que denomina «direct cinema a distància» ha observat la societat occidental —RIP in pieces\, America\, 2009—\, s’ha desplaçat cap a l’Àrtic —Of the North\, 2015—\, el sud —Going South\, 2018— i orient —Big in China\, 2020—. Navegats els quatre punts cardinals\, it needed to go deep into the Earth and be projected into space. Space Down és un muntatge d’expressions d’éssers humans en estats d’aïllament i ansietat mentre altres coetanis graviten pel cel\, improbable perspectives that question what is the place of the human being in the universe.
