Set in a motel lost in the desert between Mexico and the United States.. UU. The play tells the reunion of Eddie and May, two lovers trapped in a relationship marked by passion, desire and the ghosts of a tragic past. An emotional duel between two souls on the edge, where love is as redemptive as it is destructive. CRAZY IN LOVE premiered for the first time on 8 February 1983 at the Magic Theater in San Francisco, under the direction of the author himself; Sam Shepard. In 1980 Sam Shepard becomes the most produced author in theater in America after Tennessee Williams. Sam Shepard has written more than 45 plays, eleven of which won the Obie Award. In 1979 He is recognized with the Pulitzer Prize for the Drama “Buried Child”. In 1986 fue elegido para “the American Academy of Arts and Letters”, in 1992 receives the Gold Medal for Drama at the Academy. He was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame in 1994.
