Since the beginning of this international movement, based in Dominican Republic, more than two thousand events have been carried out in about 70 countries.
The Valencia delegation represented since the year 2018 by the writer, artist and cultural activist Patricia M. Chaves Basin, joins once again this global chain with the aim of promoting messages of equality, respect and non-violence, as part of the project UN Women Generation Equality.
He festival GM It is a meeting point, where the various artistic manifestations, Education and activism go hand in hand, managing creatively awareness of the population in general, in a common effort, Inspirator and With Borders.
with this motto “Without borders”, This sixteenth edition of the festival focuses on defending the right of so many migrant women and girls to start over with dignity in another place that offers them a new opportunity, bringing light to this topic, with the intention of making visible these women who offer their strength, culture and work in the new land that receives them.
The Rambleta will once again be the cultural center that hosts this festival in support of the cause and the promotion of its objectives. The cultural association Torrent of Words will actively participate as they have been doing since the beginning of the movement.
The programming of this edition 2026 includes in its main contents:
- Thursday 5 of March, EXPO-ART WOMAN'S SCREAM 2026, inauguration of a collective art exhibition where each artist will offer their personal interpretation of the theme through their work, in various proposals, techniques and styles. The public will be able to enjoy an audiovisual project as a complement to some of the works on display and will have the opportunity to interact with the artists present..
Laura Carrasco will participate as guest artists (cello) and Agustín Torres (flamenco cajon).
- Monday 9 of March, Interactive COLLOQUIUM “WOMEN AND LIVES, without borders”.
They will participate as speakers, Ana Noguera (writer, Dra. in Philosophy, member of the Valencian Culture Council) y Patricia M. Chaves Basin (writer, cultural activist, delegate in Valencia of several international cultural movements).
- Saturday 21 of March, ARTISTIC GALA, an event where poetry, Live music and dance will bring together numerous artists who will delight us with a multidisciplinary evening that will close the festival.
We will be a living torch that, along with the power of words and art, bring light to this cry of migrant women and girls. creativity, dedication and passion of the artists contributes to carrying this message of solidarity and hope to build a free world together, fair and without violence.
