THE SHIP. University, 2
This edition of the Teatre de la Memòria cycle that l'Escalante organizes every year brings us five proposals that, with always, they will help us recognize ourselves and learn about our own history and the events that have brought us here. The first block of the program starts in the Main Theater with cigarette cases [11], a work set in the Tobacco Factory of A Coruña, just before the proclamation of the First Republic in 1873, based on a text by Emilia Pardo Bazán. The second show will be a dance piece that conveys struggle and freedom, Between threads and bone [13], with a feminist vision and without prejudice. The program will continue in La Nau with M.A.R. [14-15], a dreamlike piece that will take a trip down memory lane, people and their objects. On the other hand, Teatro de lo Inestable will perform his show Aus Migratòries [16-17] where we will learn the story of Angelines, a woman who had to move for survival like some birds do. And lastly, in The buffer [18-19] we will see an actor preparing a monologue in which he will include his own experiences in the town, talking about him and his grandfather, but doubting what the true reality of the facts is.
