The original title of this show, Sonoma, contains the particles of the Greek "soma" meaning body or the Latin "sonum", what does sound mean. This word can reflect the scream we make when we fall off a roller coaster and represents the accelerated pace of our lives. The choreographer and director of The Veronal, Marcos Morau (National Dance Award 2013), is able to make us travel to a surreal universe, full of theatricality and originality, which transports us to fantastic cinematic and literary scenarios. Inspired by Buñuel, the interpreters transport us to an archaic world where religion, folklore, mysticism and transfigured reality are mixed with seductive songs and traditional sounds.
