One of the great novels of universal literature arrives at the Principal. Moby Dick by Herman Melville becomes flesh and blood with the great Josep María Pou, who performs the adaptation by Juan Cavestany under the direction of Andrés Lima. The square couldn't be more perfect. Melville published Moby Dick in 1850 based on his experiences on the high seas enrolled on a whaling ship, Cavestany began to adapt the text almost on impulse in 2015 and Lima, one of the great directors of the Spanish scene, agreed to command the story about Captain Ahab's suicidal obsession. The collaboration between author and director is nothing new and has given plenty of examples of the good that can come from it.: Alejandro and Ana, Penumbra o Urtain, with which Animalario triumphed in the MAX of 2010 achieving nine of the twelve awards for which it was eligible. The fourth vertex is the well-known Josep María Pou (Cross of Sant Jordi of the Government of Catalonia, National Theater Award from the Ministry of Culture…) giving life to Ahab, an old sea dog obsessed with killing Moby Dick, the great white whale that left him mutilated in one leg and against which he feels enormous hatred. A fascinating metaphor of man's fight against himself and against nature S.M.
