He performer of Lebanese origin Anthony Kmeid combines in The papers physical theater, verbal and audiovisual to denounce the persecution suffered by LGBTI people in Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon and the confusion of the endless list of papers they need to fill in to request asylum in Europe. Brut, filled with soil for having left the niche where some want to bury him, our protagonist wants to leave Beirut behind so he can live his love freely, he is not willing to remain in a place where his feelings turn out to be sinful and criminal. Alternating drama and comedy, Kmeid traces a path to territories of freedom and tolerance. AU
