After many years of rock routine, Coke Mesh he removes his crest to serve Bertolt Brecht's text, music by Kurt Weill and direction by Mario Vega. Premiered in the turbulent Berlin of 1928, The Threepenny Opera denounced prostitution, misery and abuse of power in the midst of the economic crisis. It was a fierce criticism against capitalism, understood as a large organized crime machinery, that Brecht brought to the stage parodying The Beggars' Opera. The text is still very current, hence this new version that tours Spain with live music and almost twenty people on the team., something very difficult to see nowadays. AU
