In The broken woman, the text of the famous writer Simone de Beauvoir, Anabel Alonso moves away from her usual comedic register y nos ofrece una faceta distinta. La actriz da vida a Murielle, una mujer desbordada por los recuerdos, el resentimiento y una sensación de fracaso vital, que desnuda su alma en pena a través de las palabras. La protagonista es una mujer que, como tantas otras, siente que lo ha entregado todo como madre, esposa e hija, perdiendo en este proceso el vínculo con su propia identidad. Esta adaptación pone de relieve el trasfondo feminista del texto sin recurrir a discursos explícitos, apostando por una mirada humana y directa sobre la soledad, la frustración y el deseo de ser reconocida.
