Story of a wild boar (or something from Ricard)

SATURDAY 12 AND SUNDAY 13/2
TEM. Pl. rosary, 3

Gabriel Calderón rethinks Shakespeare's Richard III in the medium he knows best, the theater. The original work deals with one of the essential themes of the human condition, the lust for power, putting the last monarch of the House of York in the center, Who, they say, came to the throne and betrayed his own family. In Story of a wild boar, Joan Carreras plays an actor who spends his whole life doing secondary roles when, for fi, he gets the great opportunity he thinks he deserves: play the great Richard III. But the rest of the cast is not up to his standards and he doesn't like what the director is proposing. The affinities between the actor and the monarch will begin to emerge, ambition is blinding for both. S.M.
