The immense Lola Herrera embodies, in Road to Mecca, to the South African sculptor Helen Martins, a woman who rebelled against all the establishments of her time. A being that pursues desire, the light of inspiration, that does not correspond to any age or generation, someone who prefers questions to certainties, who values their freedom and autonomy, facing her time and the world around her. In this adaptation of the work by Athol Fugard, The director, Claudio Tolcachir, invites us to reflect on the courage to live true to oneself and the ability to transform limitations into opportunities to create beauty and meaning.
