Archangels

FROM THURSDAY 1 ON SUNDAY 11/2
RUSSAFA ROOM. Dénia, 55

Archangels premiered in the desecrated chapel of Sant Miquel dels Reis in the last edition of the festival Russafa Scenic. Chema Cardena signs and directs this text that condenses into an hour and twenty of show a trip through six different countries over eighty years to show the repression that many people have experienced and continue to experience due to their sexual orientation. They star it, accompanied by live music from a viola, a prisoner of a Nazi concentration camp 1945, an English scientist 1952, an American athlete 1985, a Spanish transvestite 1967, an afghan man of the year 2000 and a young Russian from 2023. A mosaic of monologues with Cardeña's unmistakable signature. AU
