Sala Beckett proposed to the Catalan playwright Alex Rigola to make a show about death and from this assignment was born This undiscovered country that does not allow any of its travelers to return from its borders. At first, the engine of the work was going to be existentialist philosophy, but this approach of temperament intel·lectualoid it led to much more personal defeats. The father of the actress in the play, Alba Pujol, he was suffering from a serious illness and was facing his last cycle of chemotherapy and Rigola wanted to interview him as part of his research process. And what started as research became the reason for the show, that is to say, the way a real person faces one deadline very close. The piece, short and intense, makes us understand the emotions of this man who lives aware of the short life he has left in front of him and the relationship with his daughter. Rigola says that the play is not about death, better, this is the device that makes us talk about life. I a part of life, indeed, is about facing death.
