Gamish. A graphic history of video games

COMIC

Edward Ross · Reservoir Books · 2022

More and more voices are heard proclaiming that video games are the tenth art. It is therefore not inappropriate that it is the comic, who for so long claimed to be the ninth, the one who launches an argument in his favor. A good example of this is Gamish, the last published work of Edward Ross. In the form of an informative comic-essay, The book offers a graphic history of video games, as its title indicates, and also something else… The author reflects in an entertaining and immersive way about the main problems that this art, still young, must face, as the role of inclusion, the problem of desensitization to violence or addiction problems, showing, at once, a visionary and optimistic view of its future possibilities. A really interesting and insightful read.. ALEX MOSQUITA
