Among the Special Screenings, This year we find at least three Valencian productions. We refer to The band by Roberto Bueso, that tells us about the return to his town of a young man who reunites with friends, family and their music band, Almost ghosts by Ana Ramón, film that brings together several stories about the mythical Route 66 in United States, o The assembly by Alex Montoya, which narrates the difficulties of an assembly to reach an agreement. But this contest is not just about cinema.. Cinema Jove also wants to be a meeting point for new and established creators, and this is demonstrated by its various proposals for round tables and parallel programs. Cinema Jove would not be Cinema Jove without its usual section of the Audiovisual Meeting of Young People, in which students from educational centers throughout Spain have the opportunity to present their pieces in short format in three categories by age, Infant and Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate, and university students. Apart from the usual awards for technical departments, all of them will aspire to the WolterkKluwer Prize- Pedagogy Notebooks for teaching work, and the Special Award from the RTVE La2 television program, The adventure of knowledge.

Besides, the program Curtcreixent is nominated for another year as one of the meeting points for short film production in our country. Five years now of this proposal that brings together professionals from all fields of short film, like programming, audiovisual production or education. This year, Curtcreixent recovers the celebration of The shortest night with a special session in which we will enjoy some of the best short films in Spanish cinema that have been finalists for the Oscars in recent years.
