New edition of the contest Dona i cinema which aims to make visible the work of women directors in the audiovisual industry. they are 51 pieces distributed in the sections of long fiction, long documentary, short fiction, curt documentary, video creation and animation. In this selection we will be able to see works from the USA, Japan, Serbia, Russia, Iran, Hungary, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, Qatar and Spain. Among the parallel activities we find "Women behind the camera" that will screen the film night function by Josefina Molina, with a Lola Herrera preparing to perform Five hours with Mario by Miguel Delibes. Besides, we will be able to know the African reality together with the invited festival, el Celebrating Womanhood Festival d’Uganda, activity to which are added the round tables that will address the representation of people trans in the cinema. this year, Dona and Cinema honor Amparo Sánchez, valenciana responsible for make-up and hairdressing for films com Rosa's wedding by Icíar Bollaín, o The man who killed Don Quixote, by Terry Gilliam, with which he would win a Goya award in this section.
