Five editions already for this festival dedicated to television series. Like every year, The LABdeseries program will feature various activities and meetings with scriptwriters, directors, performers and writers responsible for some of the most relevant series made in our country. The program begins with a special session in which the actors Alberto San Juan (Cristobal Balenciaga) y Leonor Watling (I don't like driving), They will tell us about the series of their life. The first day of the program will include the talk ¿It is possible to make a series without special effects? who will tell us about the special effects sections of television series. This talk will be followed, the same Wednesday, the presentation of the mural Technology through series, in the series square, next to the Las Naves center, and in La Mutant we will attend the colloquium entitled Is there diversity in the characters of the series?, around a current hot topic, the presence of diversity of characters (raza, lgtbi characters, etc.) in contemporary series. Romantic love has been another topic that has been questioned in recent times from different perspectives.. How the series treat this genre will be another of the questions that the guests will answer at the colloquium ¿How we get romantic nowadays?
LABdeseries will offer, besides, the premiere of the British series Big Boys, and caming of age what, in comedy, tells the story of two very different boys who meet at university. Two personalities who will end up coming together in a story that invites us to reflect on models of masculinity.. Among other topics to be discussed at the festival we find, finally, with the phenomenon of true crime. What hooks us about these stories?, How the scriptwriters face these stories and what the networks and platforms ask for when choosing their projects will be some of the questions to be analyzed at the colloquium. How do young people consume true crime? Between the meetings, we will be able to meet first-hand the Argentine screenwriter and director Gaston Duprat, responsible for series like The manager o Nothing, which can be seen in a marathon at the festival, and movies like Official Competition, which will also be screened in another special session. And as a cherry on top, This edition's program celebrates twenty years since the premiere of the series that revolutionized the audiovisual market around the world.: Lost.
