Soledad afternoons

RELEASE IN THEATERS

FRIDAY 7/3

Albert Serra · Spain · 2024 · Script: Albert Serra · Interpreters: Documentary film.

Very controversial last job of the Catalan filmmaker Albert Serra, A film that the Golden Concha of the San Sebastián Festival would win. Soledad afternoons focuses on the figure of the young Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey, to do an aesthetic and reflective exercise on one of the rites that has caused the most polarization in recent years. A crime for his detractors, art for its defenders, bullfighting survives in its mix between popular spectacle and liturgy, bridge between life and death, man and the animal world. G. LEÓN
