Syria for Syria

THE FILMTECA. Pl. town hall, 17

Syria by Syria is a cycle of films that aims to bring us closer to the Syrian reality to offer us a broad vision of the context in which the country's difficult situation is developing. After the uprising against the regime of Bashar Al-Asad in the year 2011, things have become complicated to the point of deriving into a civil war with thousands of refugees. All films are directed by Syrian directors, conditioning that gives us an interesting perspective from the point of view of the protagonists themselves. We will see this month Queens of Syria at Yasmin Fedda [11 y 15], A flood in Baath country de Omar Amiralay [15], The return to Homs de Talal Derki [16 y 29] i The war show de Andreas Dalsgaard [26 y 30].
