Grand Jury Prize in Venice and Best Film Prize at the Seville European Film Festival. Based on a real experience, Saint Omer is the debut of director Alice Diop, that tells us the story of Rama, a young novelist who feels seduced by the Laurence Coly case, a Senegalese woman accused of the murder of her fifteen-month-old daughter. The case seems clear, but, as the trial progresses, the testimonies and evidence seem to complicate its resolution. Background, hidden racism will appear in part of French society. G.LEON
