First work by the Galician Álvaro Gago Díaz, based on a previous short of the same title. Selected in the section Panorama from the Berlin Festival, Matter tells the story of Ramona, a woman in her forties who works as a shellfish harvester in a tense and unpredictable work context. One day, Ramona meets Xosé, a man with whom she begins an unusual relationship. Ramona has spent her entire life sacrificing everything for the future of her daughter Estrella.
