Summer film library 2023

Summer is coming, the heat, a chair, a beer... and to live. This year's Summer Film Library program consists of three cycles of screenings. In Prizes harvest we will see films that have received the great accolades of this season. Start with Basil [4-5], first work of the Valencian Avelina Prat, Best film of this year's Valencian Audiovisual Berlanga Awards. They will follow this one The beasts [19-21] by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Goya for best feature film; Labordeta, a man without more [17-18] by Paula Labordeta i Gaizka Urresti, Goya for the best documentary feature; Everything at once everywhere [11-13] de Dan Kwan i Daniel Scheinert, Oscar for best film 2023; and the Palme d'Or at Cannes 2022, The triangle of sadness [31/8-2/9] part suec Ruben Östlund. Besides, Filmoteca d'estiu dedicates a cycle to the German director Wim Wenders. Four long works will be screened: Alice in the cities [6-7], The state of things[14-15], Paris-Texas [25-27] and the documentary Buena Vista Social Club [28-29]. The program ends with two birthdays: the hundred years ofA woman from Paris [8 y 10] of Charles Chaplin, and the 75 d’The bicycle thief [22 y 24] by Vittorio De Sica. G.LEON
