The return of the Dardenne brothers appeals to one of the most complex conflicts facing contemporary Western societies.: Islamist radicalization. The young Ahmed tells the story of a thirteen-year-old boy who has been brought closer to orthodox religious positions by the influence of his imam.. The problem arises when Ahmed tries to kill his teacher at school., who welcomes him with affection, but whom he considers impure. Ahmed comes from an environment outside of that radical environment.
