This is the fourth year that the Center del Carme offers a free open-air film series in August with European comedies that are not easy to find in commercial theaters or on online platforms.. (from Tuesday to Sunday) and will be presented by the film critic and cycle coordinator Daniel Gascó. The cycle starts with the French film Antoinette in the Cévennes about a woman who embarks on a journey in which she decides to follow the same route and conditions as Robert Louis Stevenson. It will be followed by the episodic film by Ettore Scola If you allow me, let's talk about women (1964), conceived to suit its protagonist Vittorio Gassman; and one of the most unique pieces of Spanish cinema, the anchorite (1976), directed by José Manuel M. Herrero with a script by Rafael Azcona and starring Fernando Fernán Gómez. The rest of the projections of the first week are Oh, Boy! (2012), first work in English Jan Ole Gerster; Bad poems (2018), second work by Gábor Reisz, and the Czech comedy 1941 Hotel Modrá hvezda.
