UNTIL SUNDAY 12/3
CAIXAFORUM. Eduardo Primo Yúfera, 1A
Caixaforum starts the year with a program that mixes dance and cinema. Four proposals that range from the mere filming of dance works to works that are formally more cinematic or where the image takes on an interpretive function beyond registration. The cycle started on Sunday 29/1 with the sleeping beauty by director Gunilla Wallin, which collects the version of Charles Perrault's story performed by choreographer Mats Ek with music by Tchaikovsky. Already in the most cinematic terrain, on sunday 5/2 we will see the version of blood wedding directed by Carlos Saura which collects the rehearsals of the company of Antonio Gades in a triple dialogue between dance, theater and image. It's just as interesting Pina [26/2], on l’alemany Wim Wenders, together with the ballarins of the Tanztheater Wuppertal, pays homage to the work of choreographer Pina Bausch, one of the most lucid exercises that have been carried out with the 3D cinema technique. Close the schedule Beethoven's Ninth [12/2] in a version by the French dancer Maurice Béjart, junt al Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the Tokyo Ballet and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Zubin Mehta.
