Inside The Marina, the building Veles e Vents It is a true architectural and cultural icon. Mar, marketing manager, He tells us that this impressive building was designed by renowned architects David Chipperfield and Fermín Vázquez. Veles e Vents is much more than a modern structure, It is a multifunctional space that hosts cultural events, gastronomic and business. The name “Veles e Vents”—a poem by Ausiàs March from the 15th century that recounts a journey from Italy to Valencia for love—perfectly reflects its essence.: the sea wind caresses its visitors in every corner since it was built for the 32nd Copa América in 2007. Its large terraces and panoramic views over the port and the Mediterranean Sea make it a privileged place to enjoy the beauty and vitality of La Marina.. We cannot miss the opportunity to discover the variety of spaces dedicated to culture and leisure in this place.: a haute cuisine restaurant, trendy bars and exhibition and event halls. The building can do that and more..

When we enter the Veles e Vents restaurant, The Branch, We know immediately that we are in a special place that elevates the dining experience to an exceptional level. The Branch is run by the Andrés family, which has managed to combine tradition and modernity in its culinary proposal with a menu based on high quality local ingredients, prepared with sophisticated techniques that highlight the authentic flavors of the region. But the experience at La Sucursal goes far beyond the food.: The restaurant is designed to offer an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, with modern decor that complements the stunning sea and harbor views. The Pergola
We suggest you visit a little further than La Marina and discover the Pergola. It is much more than an emblematic space in Valencia: It is a living witness of the history and culture of the city. Since its construction in 1924 It has been a meeting and celebration point for generations of Valencians, and has established itself as a place full of memories and unforgettable moments, like weddings, parties and events. Its unique architecture combines elegance and functionality, offering an open and covered space that allows outdoor events to be held under any weather condition. Groups such as The red room, Sr. Chinarro, Ferran Palau y Coyote Girl and Tornado Boy, and there is still a surprise concert for the first day of June.

Pamela, by Manolo Valdes
Discover the unique beauty of La Pamela in our vibrant Valencian enclave! Pamela not only captures our attention, but also awakens amazement and admiration in us for its elegance and mystery.. The female head covered with a wide hat evokes a sense of unique aesthetics and style, reflecting the creativity and artistic ability of Manolo Valdés. The setting in La Marina makes La Pamela even more special: We sat on its wooden pedestal and admired this historic and cultural port.. what a moment.

CV Rowing Federation School
We have been impressed with the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community. From its humble facilities, REMO offers an incredible variety of educational programs and activities for ages seven and up., promoting love for the sea and this sport, unknown to so many Valencian men and women. Nacho, the federation manager, explains to us with enthusiasm that REMO was founded eight years ago, collaborating closely with other institutions and local entities from the first moment to promote the sports modalities of rowing, accessible and beneficial for physical and mental health. It is proud that sixty-seven percent of participation is female and that the school has been awarded as the sports entity that has most promoted gender equality and sexual diversity in the practice of physical activity and sports in the city. They also have programs adapted for people with disabilities that promote inclusion and accessibility.. A sport to discover in a city that already has seven hundred people who come to row every week.

The Titan Crane
Definitely, you can't miss the old crane, a protected monument that remembers the city's industrial and port past. It rises majestically over the port and we can tell you that this testimony of the maritime history of Valencia and its evolution over the years is unique.. The old crane, officially known as Titan Crane, It was built at the beginning of the 20th century and used for decades for loading and unloading goods in the port of Valencia.. Its robust and functional design reflects the engineering of the time, and its presence is a tribute to the workers and commercial activity that characterized the city during much of its history.. Today it has been restored and preserved as a historical monument, because its presence creates a tangible link between the past and the present, allowing us to appreciate the maritime heritage of Valencia.

Listened
Walking through La Marina you will find the sheds, those impressive open and roofed structures that date back to the beginning of the 20th century. Originally, These sheds were used to store and handle goods in the port, but today they have taken on a new life. Now we see people skating, practicing skate capoeira, girls and boys playing. They are the scene of cultural events such as Ciclosferia, vibrant markets and community activities, Under its roofs, industrial history is mixed with modern and dynamic energy..

clock building
A few steps from the sheds is the incredible Clock Building: modernist, inaugurated in 1916, It is a true architectural gem. Its imposing clock and detailed design are not only a delight for the eyes, but they also tell a story of progress and change. It was originally the headquarters of the port authority and, although its function has evolved - it now hosts sporadic exhibitions -, remains an important landmark and symbol of the port's growth over time. Walking between the sheds and the Clock Building is like traveling back in time, appreciating how the Navy has managed to combine its rich history with a vibrant and full of life present..

marine world
Walking through La Marina we arrived at the MundoMarino booth. How many activities they offer, we want to try them all! Restaurante Kabanyal
Pl. Spanish Navy, 1
We are not exactly in La Marina, but we see it. And we didn't want to stop recommending the Restaurante Kabanyal, ideal for a snack the day we go to visit the maritime balcony of València. Under the generous shade of a ficus we contemplate the view: The Navy aside, the heart of Canyamelar, the other. The sea breeze and the traditional recipes of the neighborhood sneak into our table., and they are joined by new smells and bites of Valencian and Spanish gastronomy.. We tried titaina's coca and chaplain to the flame, the cooked balls of the navy, a shrimp pancake, a divine little tower, some fresh squid and a paddy rice. And we can no longer stop thinking that the ficus will wait for us tomorrow, giving shade to our table, from morning until night, looking with one eye at the sea and its renewed air, and with the other to Canyamelar and its traditional smell.
