The twee-pop trio originating from Providence (Rhode Island) will offer live the record for which he is and will be remembered, the wonderful Teenage symphonies to god, of which they celebrate the 30th anniversary of its publication. Influenced by Big Star, the Velvet Crush have a sound similar to other contemporary bands and friends like Mathew Sweet or Posies. Strong guitars scratched energetically though, that at the same time, they seek and achieve inspired melodies and dreamy vocal harmonies. In the original line-up —Paul Chartain (voice and low), Jeffrey Borchardt (guitar) i Rick Mench (battery)— will be accompanied by Dave Gibbs of the Gigolo Aunts in this concert. XIMO MARQUIS
