The Tibbs are a vintage soul band from Amsterdam, currently led by the clear voice, fine and subtle of the frontwoman Roxanne Hartog, who replaces the fantastic original singer Elsa Bekman with whom they recorded Takin’ over (2016). The current line-up has a driving and robust rhythm section made up of guitar, battery, baix i orgue Hammond; in addition to a section of three wind instruments. His compositions stand out for some well-groomed arrangements and instrumentation, groove persistent, melodies brillants, sound influenced by the artists of the Stax label and the musical aesthetics of the sixties.
