It is the musical event of the summer: The trio The Smile comes to Valencia to present their second album, Wall of eyes (XL recordings, 2024), produced by Sam Petts-Davies (producer of PJ Harvey, Frank Ocean i Roger Waters, among others). this one Supergroup, the name of which ampra of a poem by Ted Hughes, consists of two members of Radiohead (Thom Yorke i Jonny Greenwood) the jazz group of Sons Of Kemet, Tom Skinner. Together, They invent sophisticated melodies that make an experimental taste without ever losing the listener in inaccessible meanders: it must be said that Radiohead's soul is very present in these topics, they mix Math-Rock, electronic pulses, ritmes afrobeat i rock progressiu. But it's on stage where The Smile's songs become masterful and striking, attracting the viewer gracefully to a high -flying space, hypnot, magnetic and electrizing. That says everything: Go! B.L.
