Originally founded by singer and guitarist Rudi Protrudi in New York City, The group's name is derived from “Fuzz Tone.”, a guitar effect pedal invented in the sixties whose sound was popularized by The Rolling Stones. The Fuzztones became one of the references of the garage rock sound after the publication of their debut album Lysergic emanations in the mid eighties. That album included two versions of Sonic songs that catapulted them to success within the scene. underground, were “Strychnine” o “Cinderella”.
