It is a luxury that a British band like Squid which is in full swing and in the spotlight of the specialized press in its country of origin, includes Valencia in its tour. A few weeks ago the Brighton quintet published their second work The monolith recorded at Peter Gabriel studios. A compendium of songs that strengthen instrumental and melodic passages, and explore more psychedelic and experimental terrain, that gain momentum as you listen to the album more and more times. With its new sounds, Squid now seeks a different kind of freedom, no longer advances with impetus, but wanders through varied and interesting sound directions. Definitely, a concert not to be missed.
