It is not necessary to introduce the singer that, afterThe evil will (2018), cool futuristic flamenc album, has caused an international musical system (and endless debates…). Without resting on our laurels, and thanks to his great agility to gloat the musical styles and the collaborations in a singles unstoppable published between 2019 i 2021, Rosalía has earned the respect of music professionals while enjoying commercial success. And in his last album, Motomami (2022), the Catalan star brilliantly demonstrates how he dominates the entire spectrum of his musical tastes by offering an album that is both demanding and mainstream, but mostly fascinating, out of the ordinary and out of fashion. His new songs now look more towards Afro-Caribbean dance floors and dare with breaking rhythms, bold encounters, autotune, furious percussion… An explosion of senses and sounds, as subversive as regressive, which shows that, almost thirty years, Rosalía surprises with her musical maturity. It goes without saying that the performance in Valencia is the event you should not miss this summer. B.L.
