You know what the Frenchman François Truffaut has in common, Brazilian João Gilberto and the Anglesos of Joy Division? Both belonged to an artistic movement that had the same name: the "new wave". And it is around this term that I was born the Parisian project New wave in the head of the musicians Olivier Libaux (died 2021) i Marc Collin, accompanied in singing by several singers: cover new wave songs in bossa nova. imagine “Just can’t get enough” dels Depeche Mode o “Ever fallen in love” of the Buzzcocks with a baggy touch: the result is both a music history course and a treat for the ears! After having to cancel the anniversary tour of 2020, Nouvelle Vague returns this year to celebrate its 20th anniversary and present the new album Should I stay or should I go (SINKS, 2024).
