He 2011, the english Metronomy, like a pop hurricane, they destroyed everything in their path with the album The english riviera, which was seconded by hits “The bay” i “The look”. His discography is, in fact, an impeccable route that rubs shoulders with pop stars: of the angular excitations of Nights out (2007) al recent Small world (2022), they were exuberant as they passed by Metronomy forever (2019), Joseph Mount's band dusts off vintage electronic pop that looks at the eighties in the rear-view mirror without falling into nostalgia. On the contrary, it is music that makes our dark present shine. “It’s good to be back”, happily singing along to the new album. And us, so happy, thinking: how good to see them again on stage after months of postponing the tour! B.L.
