The organizers of the Palau de la Música Jazz Festival presented this 25th edition as a "loaded with Grammys" designed for all citizens. The capital's quintessential jazz festival is celebrating a quarter of a century by almost doubling its budget for 18 concerts that will take place in the Main Theater (the Palau de la Música is still open) and in the suburbs. This year's big names are an innovator of jazz guitar com John Scofield [5]; the one who is a member of the Miles Davis quintet among 1963 i 1968, Ron Carter [10], at the head of his quartet Foursight; the saxophonist Joe Lovano and the trumpeter Dave Douglas [13] presenting Other worlds; i Snarky Puppy [12], one of the most popular and influential bands in modern jazz that has four Grammys. At the national level, Silvia Perez Cruz [6] debuts at the festival with the formation Farsa Circus Band and the trio Colina-Miralta-Sambeat will propose a fusion of jazz and flamenco together with the renowned flamenco guitarist Juan Gómez “Chicuelo” [9]. Regarding the Peñíscola jazz festival, it has little international left, only the American one Melody Gardot [15] will allow the event to maintain the prestigious label. Finally, at the Jazz Panorama in Torrent will perform Ki Big Band [22], Modern Standards Supergroup [23] i Kiko Berenguer [24]. AU
