PANORAMA JAZZ 2018
FROM FRIDAY 20 ON SUNDAY 22/7
Torrent Auditorium. Vicent Pallardó, 25

At this point the festivals of jazz they no longer strictly schedule jazz. Not even similar music: blues, soul, rhythm’n’blues. We don't know why. But that's the reality. The fact is that the festival of jazz of the Palau de la Música brings us this year figures of the jazz (some reputed, others younger) and other styles such as neocountry (Lambchop, the prestigious Kurt Wagner Band) or the song (there it is Salvador Sobral, singer y outsider, and popular character all at the same time). As for the jazz, we will see classic names parade like Ron Carter, Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau (in trio formation) or the locals Parakeet Sambeat (versioning Zappa) o Ximo Tébar. Likewise, The new edition of Panorama Jazz de Torrent brings us three very different proposals: on the one hand the festival will open Nes, Nesrine Belmokh's combo (former Diablito Tango and cellist of the Valencian Community Orchestra) and yours. On the other, The double bassist's quintet completes the poster Omer Avital and the trio of Julian Lage, a guitarist who is said to have been influenced by Jim Hall; There is nothing. Rafa Martínez
