The cultural dynamism of some small towns is surprising for the quality they are able to bring together. Borriana is a clear example: the fifth edition of the emac music and art festival. returns to place the city at the center of the Valencian cultural agenda in an inevitable date of the winter calendar. This year it presents references from the urban scene, like the lo-fi of Marcelo Criminal, l’emo-trap d’Albany and electronics punk-pop of Bronchus; pop proposals and the rock, com The Star of David, he soul of Maria Yfeu, Little Evil, the bright pop of Good luck, he punk-pop of Yawners and of Extra season, he neofolk d’Emily Jane White and the debutante from Borrian Aina Monferrer; electronic base projects, com Kalahari, l’underground of Groom Horse, the toys of Toy selector and the clubbing of Pablo Dass; and folklore plastic surgeons, com Caliphate ¾ i the Afro-Latin of the Good News. Rocio Marquez, the voice of the new generation of cante jondo, heads a poster that opens, again, to contemporary proposals, eclectic and avant-garde, a good example of the current musical landscape that makes fusion the norm.
