Diego “El Cigala”

P. ARTS. Professor Lopez Piñero, 1

Diego “El Cigala” inaugurates the first cycle dedicated to flamenco at the Palau de les Arts on 21 December after the date change (was initially scheduled for November). The famous singer rose to great fame in the early 2000s when film director Fernando Trueba produced his album black tearstogether with the pianist and composer of jazz Cuban Bebo Valdés. Since then, El Cigala began to accumulate recognition from critics and the public worldwide (especially in Latin American countries) and amassed prestigious awards. Today he continues creating and fusing flamenco with other styles such as salsa in albums like the last one published to date., Indestructible. V.CASAÑA
