Fundat a Arizona per Joey Burns i John Convertino, no fou fins al 2003, amb l’àlbum Feast of wire (City Slang), que la seua carrera conegué el succés crític i comercial que els ha acompanyat fins a hui. The band's songs are inspired by the intercultural borders of the southwestern United States, entre el rock americà, el country i les influencies funky-llatines: una música cinematogràfica que convida a viatjar, evocant paisatges desèrtics i horitzons llunyans que et deixen una sensació d’alegria i despreocupació. I quina millor manera de viatjar aquest estiu sense haver d’anar massa lluny… B.L.
