THE Stage research days born from the impulse to consolidate a space for reflection and experimentation around performing arts research.
After the satisfactory edition of 2024 in Espai La Granja, with Amalia Fernandez as a hostess, where an environment of great opening, exchange and enthusiasm among the participants, we propose to continue with this initiative on an annual basis.
This new edition of 2026 combina workshops, reflection tables and socializing spaces; for this we call on Sandra Gomez, rosanayaris, Cia. L’Abocador i Colectivo 114, artists with various trajectories in Committee stage research, to test a new format of dissemination of scenic research through practice, meeting and dialogue. This will be the Research Committee.
Aurora Garcia i Agud i Jor Camacho will be the artists invited for the Graisa area from Mutant, and they will work under the slogan: Period: transitions and migrations to breach borders; common theme that will serve as a framework for sharing the research methodologies of the Research Committee.
Durant 6 private sessions, each artist or collective of the Research Committee share your research tools with the rest, because they can to dive, rethink, to unravel and divert his artistic practices towards the subject of work. The goal is that, through this accompaniment, the methodologies and tools with which the artists are already working for, after, share them with the public, through small workshops, within the aforementioned Stage Research Days.
This model seeks amplify voices and generate a space in which participants can talk about their processes, share methodologies and think together.
The workshops of the artists of Research Committee they will be the substrate of the days, but we will also have one performative lecture by Ángela Verdugo, which will initiate the theoretical-practical part of research around performing arts; a talk about the work of the research archive with Aurora Garcia and Jor Camacho; with two round tables in which we wonder, together and out loud about what research is?; and with different spaces for relaxation and coexistence.
