38 serenates: International Tuba Euphonium Conference

The Serenate Festival, co -produced by the University of Valencia (UV) and the Valencian Institute of Culture (IVC), celebrates its XXXVIII edition of the 24 from June to 6 of July to the cloister of the Cultural Center La Nau with a solidarity program, format per 13 shows and dedicated to UV postdana help and recovery programs. L’Olbeura of the Anirà Festival A Càrrec del Grup de Dansa I l’Orquestra Filharmònica of the University, who will interpret the work Carmen suite d'Shchedrin next night 24.

All concerts will start at the 22 hours and tickets can be purchased from today, with a price of 5 €, In online mode through the web www.latenda.es/entrades, While physical tickets are available in UV store stores.

International Tuba Euphonium Conference, ITEC

In the context of the International Tuba Euphonium Conference, ITEC Spain 2025, Valencia hosts a special concert by the Orchestra of Valencia that highlights the expressiveness and versatility of the tuba and the bombardi. El programa s'obri amb les Variations on the nocturnal retreat from Madrid, by Luigi Boccherini, reimagined with a contemporary orchestration by David del Puerto (1964) which establishes a bridge between tradition and the present. Below is the premiere of the version for bombardier and orchestra of The Unknown Soldier, by Ricardo Mollá (1992), performed by Bastius Baumet, a work that pays tribute to the anonymous fallen of the Second World War. Flúor follows her, Copper, Uranium and Vanadium, D’Arés Valero-Castells (1973), a celebration of chemistry and Valencian university history. The concert concludes with the Tuba Concerto, by John Williams (1932), an emblematic score of the contemporary repertoire, performed pel reconegut soloist Øystein Baadsvik.

It is followed by Fluorine, Copper, Uranium and Vanadium by Andrés Valero-Castells (1973), a celebration of chemistry and Valencian university history. The concert concludes with John Williams' Tuba Concerto (1932), an emblematic score of the contemporary repertoire, performed by renowned soloist Oytein Baadsvik.
