He Godella International Chamber Music Festival will host Elena Font's piano recital & Pascal Rogé with works by Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky, a gastronomic concert, a performance in Alfara del Patriarca, in collaboration with its council, and a massive concert under the baton of Joan Enric Lluna, artistic director of the festival, with the help of Houtaf Khoury, Manuel de Falla and Joseph Haydn. The Valencian municipality is currently hosting the eighteenth edition until Sunday 12 of July. Under the motto The seasons prestigious groups and artists perform, as well as a participatory choir and young talents.
The cultural event is consolidated as a reference festival and continues to promote its internationalization after a long history under the artistic direction of Joan Enric Lluna, director and founder of Moonwinds, solo clarinet of the Valencian Community Orchestra, main training of the Palau de les Arts, and professor at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia (Emec) and Trinity College London.
Elena Font & Pascal Rogé will offer a four-hand piano recital in which they will perform The sea by Debussy and The Rite of Spring Stravinsky at the Capitol Theater Friday 10 at 8 pm. The renowned Spanish artist and the Frenchman unite a common passion for sharing music and emotions, and they perform regularly together, taking their repertoire to various international stages.. At night, the gastronomic concert of the Castillo restaurant, by chef Eduard Frechina, will return once again to Villa Eugenia at 10 p.m..
The Godella Festival collaborates for the first time with the Alfara del Patriarca City Council (Valencia) in a performance by Moonwinds Simfònic and the Festival Orchestra, directed by Joan Enric Luna, together with the participatory Choir, under the direction of Josep Ramón Gil-Tàrrega, and Anna Lluna (soprano), Hector Ruiz Vilches (tenor) and Óscar Velázquez (baritone), in which they will address Gardens of love by the Lebanese composer Houtaf Khoury y The seasons by Haydn that will take place in the Church of Sant Bertomeu on Saturday 11 a las 22h.
This edition will close in Godella with a massive concert in which the same groups and soloists will perform as in Alfara del Patriarca and in which they will provide a program that will also include the work of Houtaf Khoury in tribute to the victims of wars.. Khoury's work, who will attend this concert, was performed by Lluna with the prestigious Brodsky Quartet in 2012. Besides, will offer witchy love of Falla to pay tribute to the Andalusian composer in the 150 anniversary of his birth, with the singer Reyes Carrasco, live projections of the painter Ana Beltran in a project designed by Eli E. Miranda in collaboration with the Arc Clàssica Festival; and will end with The seasons (spring and summer) Haydn at the Capitol Theater domingo 12 at 8 pm.
