The International Ceramic Biennial of Manises (BICM) will celebrate its sixteenth edition of the 14 from June to 13 September 2024, exhibiting 58 works selected from among more than 500 pieces presented in its international call, from countries like China, Taiwan, Argentina, Australia, Ukraine, Israel, Mexico, United States or Jordan, besides Spain. “The participation figures show the international prestige of this competition and that ceramics, with its tradition of more than seven centuries, enjoy good health at the present, with expectations towards the future with a lot of ingenuity, innovation and creativity”, says Xavier Morant, Councilor for Culture and Promotion of Ceramics of the Manises City Council. The BICM 2024, that will devalue the award-winning works at an inaugural gala that will take place on 14 of June, at 19:30, in the Los Filtros Park of Manises, will tell, besides, with the exhibitions of the winning artists of the 15th edition, Rafa Chacón and Ubaldo Bal, as well as various guided tours by Ana Illueca and several conferences, among which 'The art catalog as narration' stands out, by Pepe Gimeno, National Design Award who has been part of the jury of the biennial, he 19 of June, at 19:00, in the Ceramic Museum of the Valencian town.
