The Xàbia City Council has presented today the XL edition of Música a l'Estiu, one of the most consolidated and prestigious cultural cycles of the summer in the region, which this year celebrates its fortieth edition with a program marked by artistic quality, the diversity of proposals and the presence of formations of recognized international prestige. There are five concerts that will make up this edition and that will be held between the 6 and the 10 July in the church of Sant Bertomeu and the Plaza de la Iglesia.
The festival will start on 6 of July with the performance of Aulos Wind Quintet of the National Orchestra of Spain, a formation born in 1990 and made up of outstanding musicians from the country's main symphonic institution. His career combines intense concert activity, an important pedagogical work and the interpretation of contemporary and chamber repertoire, which has made him a reference in Spanish wind music..
The second day will feature the Leonor String Quartet, a group backed by more than two decades of experience and recognized for its artistic versatility. Their repertoire ranges from the great classics to contemporary music., also incorporating collaborations with other disciplines and musical styles, always based on interpretive rigor and technical excellence.
One of the highlights of this XL edition will come on 8 July with the performance of German Brass, considered one of the best brass ensembles in the world and an undisputed reference on the international musical scene. Founded on 1974, The German ensemble has revolutionized the brass repertoire thanks to a proposal that combines virtuosity, innovation, elegance and closeness to the public. With more than fifty years of experience, He has performed in the main auditoriums in Europe, Asia and the United States, and his unmistakable sound has made him an absolute reference for several generations of musicians.. Thursday 9 July will be the concert's turn Denomination of Origin, starring the musicians linked to Xabia Óscar Rosa and Isabel Català, accompanied on piano by Vicent Sendra.
