Collective and restorative creation about migration. In the framework of MOSTRA VIVA Meeting of Writers and Writers of the Mediterranean, this workshop offers a collective artistic and emotional experience, per a migrants i no migrants, where to explore and transform media discourses on migration through collective artistic creation.
From an exhibition, VENT. Vides a Transito, on 24 artists reinterpret various media headlines about migration, the workshop offers an experience of reflection, individual expression and collaboration to generate new visual narratives that will be exhibited alongside the original works.
To the workshop, the participating people will tour the exhibition beforehand and work in three narrative moments: dispossession, Resistance and Repair, and through individual and collaborative creation, one or two large-format pieces will be created that will be exhibited alongside the original works, integrating the voices and views of all.
Guided by three workshops, plastic artists and professors and researchers from the Polytechnic University of Valencia with experience in community art and intercultural mediation: Victoria Esgueva, Susana García and María Martín, this workshop seeks to transform the language of exclusion into gestures of welcome, memory and reconstruction through collective pictorial creation.
