Raízes is a batucada social school. A socio-educational musical project that uses the drum as a tool for social transformation and to transmit Afro-Brazilian popular culture. The roots help us understand the present and build ourselves from the awareness of who we are and who we want to be.. We believe that every human being is valuable in itself and through the drum we make people aware of their beauty and capabilities.. In the workshop we will briefly introduce the culture of the batucada, We will play some coordination and body percussion games and we will enter the wonderful world of the batucada through movement, percussion and singing.
